balance symbols

Nerf AC symbols or buff other symbols. Let's face it. What do you see every class dualing to?

Warlock
Templar
Lord knight
Conqueror
Corsair

You get a few grand wizards, a very few fallens, hardly anything apart from lord knights, a few desperados here and there, and some vigilantes. Let's face it, don't you think there's something wrong when the vast majority of the population chooses the AC symbol over everything else? I pretty much have everything ready to dual right now and I can't stomach the thought of dualing into a warlock because there's just SO many of them. I'm not asking to be original, I just want a variety of choices. Why does the BEST symbol stat (AC) give the most effect out of everything else (G7.5?) while other symbols are at most g4? Could we find a way to balance dual classes so that not everyone and their mother duals to a warrior?

This is true. Those are the classes that are seen most. Kinda lame if there is no diversity in dual class. But why would there be if they are the obvious better ones.
Of course if this is changed now then it's not really fair to the dual classes that have already picked their class. You'd probably have to give them the option to change class then.
But I definitely agree with this.

I am the only crazy one to pick Triggermage, but I don't regret it one bit. Some dual for status, not for strength.
No matter what I do in war, you will always notice and think "hey it's the pink triggermage, kill it fast!".

Anyway back on topic, maybe some of them could use the nerf stick, but I rather see other symbols getting buffed like for example Archmage, Warsaint, Saint, Swashbuckler etc.

Also make the Corsair, Lord Knight and Warlock G1 symbols require Cyclops skins.

Agreed. I dont like the idea of nerfing symbols. Boosting other symbols should be the solution!

It's our own fault for pushing the date on live launch so fast T_T
There are so many interesting and useful ideas popping up now that just cannot be implemented due to alot of ppl already reaching certain milestones in the game already.

i have to disagree, symbols are actualy used as free rares to reach the ideal build (wich in most cases is the same) an example could be ressit all, ac > ressist all since ac works against 3 characters while ressist all only works agains 1 and even then blaze rares will probably be more effective till d3.
if variety when chosing is the objective, then i think simbols should be giving something usefull and unique that cant be replace with rares, some random ideas could be:

templar: decrease incoming damage by %
fallen:increase attack and movement speed by %
avenger: decrease enemy ac by %
saint: (in case wis is changed to increase spell damage) increase the effect of wis.

this atributes will stack with rares wich means that even if 2 diferent duals use the best rares, both will be able to exceed the other in a certain aspect.

"buff" everything until it's easy to get G20 AC, Force, evasion, and distant/strike/counter. Then all PvP will either last 5 seconds against people without rares, or a very long time against people with equally maxed rares. It takes away the strategic part of DR where you have to pick and chose what rare to use in what situation.
