Unlearn Job Items

Postby LadyPhoenix » Mon May 10, 2010 5:31 am

Can we get the ability to unlearn a previously learned it? For example, jobs like fishing where we will never really need small octopus or maklerel after we GM the job, it would help a lot if we could unlearn the item so that when we are fishing for things we need like eel or sturgeon, the area doesn't get flooded with junk.

I'd actually like to see this happen.

I'm working on an item database, so I need to learn all items to get details. (Sure theres JP wiki but I do my own work.)
I would like to unlearn items from my crafting menu so its not flooded with junk I'll never make again afterward.

How do you propose this would work? a single button to unlearn all items then relearn or choose 1 by 1 what to unlearn?

well, since crite really isn't an issue in game any more, I wouldn't have a problem with after you GM a job, you can then have the option to unlearn all the items you have learned up to that point, then re-buy the ones that you want back. Kinda like the skill reset guy in Northern Wannen, give them certain items and they give you a "forgetful Potion" (like the 2 sards, 2 leaves and book of enrich to reset ur ability points) or something like that, that way noobs won't be all like, "I LOST ALL MY LEARNED ITEMS WHEN I TALKED TO THIS GUY AND ITS ALL GM'S FAULT!!" lol

maybe a simple command instead of a NPC that you can talk to by accident.
/unlearn [job name]

then it would reset your job to the most basic of items (such as those you get when first buying a job). To relearn items, just buy it from the npc again. Should be simple to implement this way since it's just adding 1 more command/function.
