make crit usefull

as many already know crit worth nothing ingame, The idea would be to make crit worth the name "ingame currenci", so far i can only think of a big reduction to the amout of crit given by creatures when killed or when selling the items droped, same logic could be aply to the job quest.

there is already a topic about this.

lowering the amount of critt gained in-game would not really improve its worth as it isnt used for anything. people will still choose to trade RE over critt. all this would do is make donating for fame more of a pain in the arse.

besides GM's dont want critt to become more usefull, they want RE to become the main currency of the game so that they make more money.

Well what some of the other games do is make mall points (RE) non-tradable but make mall items tradable so players would trade gold/critt for mall items instead of trading with RE directly. People would also stockpile mall items instead of mall points. This way more mall items are bought because not everything bought would be used. Some mall items would even become currency.

I read this and pondered about how to get people to "use" up massive reserviors of crits. They are pretty much worthless with player to player trading and i dout it would change expecially since people with RE'scan buy some.
So for a suggestion maybe add items to the special npc that sells rings potboxes and such. Maybe like add cape with timers of 10 minutes for 20,000,000. Other useful items from the RE's only menu also. It may help with sales or RE's as well as people will wantthe item to stop disapearing. Ever get tired of hearing take cape off and duel me one on one? Then people can say go buy cheap cape for duel me one on one... Course you wouldnt add all things from there. Maybe even the weapons dress, ect ect ect... Just a suggestion.

i cant agrea with this idea. I cannot afford to spend to get R.E. as i am sure there are others who cant. but what i can do is trade for R.E. if R.E. became un tradable i will basically never be able to get a cape, never get dbl exp pills etc, etc.

what lp said is a common thing on many games that had a mall.

player "a" buys r.e
player "b" dont buy r.e

player "a" needs crit to buy something but is lazy to do job quest or sell stuff so he buys r.e items like capes and exp pills and then sell them to players for crit.

timed r.e items like capes arent either a solution since people wont spend 1/4 of their crit just to duel someone, beside if one whant this to work everyone must need it or those who buy r.e will never sell nothing for crit and we will end in having the same problem.

as for the crit check if something like this happends the item should disapear or have an increased cost so r.e users are encourage to sell items over buying the check.

Another option is to sell nerfed versions of mall items for critt. Like 15 minutes double exp pill = 10mill. It wouldn't take profits away from the mall because it takes about 5 minues to run to the leveling location an set up the party. Then I would be damn pissed if my tank/blaster left every 15 minutes to go back to town and grab another pill... but if it's still a viable option.

Pretty much if you want something to be useful, make it scarce. Best way to make critt scarce is to add gold sinks that makes gold useful.

people will drive crazy if they do that :lol:

a shop that sell all those amulets and rings that gives +5 wis or similar small bonus could be a good idea, but i still think that what ever they do, crit should become important for everyone or people who buy credit wont accept crit and we will end in the same problem.

but an amulet shop won't be very useful because once you have it, you won't need anymore. You'd need a repeatable gold sink to be useful.

there should be a timer, but make it so u can atleast enjoy it.... not like that 15minute pill where u're bussy running 5 minutes of it
