Make a new item called "Refined Diamond" (diamond2... w/e you want to call it doesn't matter) and make it a random very rare drop from all mining nodes (not just diamond nodes). Then change the Sard quest requirement to ask for this Diamond2. This way it still hard to get a sard from the quest but it won't compete with people trying to make rares or get diamonds for the Merchant quest.

The use of the word "random very rare" just made me wince.
I'd put diamonds currently at "uncommon" at best.

I dont think it was ment to be hard in the first place.


I'd perfer the current system... At least when you are mining for a diamond, you can expect it to drop sooner or later and keep alert for it while at a diamond mine.
If they randomly dropped from all mines, I sure as heck not going to let random people loot my unwanted ores anymore. They might loot a diamond if Im not watching carefully.

been a while since ive been around, but whats a diamond vein? is there a distinguishing difference you could tell me? i just started a miner.

diamond vein is a spot that has about |--| maximum ore capacity. diamonds are used for high level items such as red prayers
each map with veins has at least 5 diamond spots

hvnt found 5 in Heltern and in gray mounts

There is a high demand for diamonds and not enough supply. We can't run sardonyx daily quest when it asks every day for 10 diamonds or more. In yllse all the diamond spots are empty most of the time i'm lucky to find one.

-1, i dun like this idea i prefer changing of sard daily quest requests.
