10 Second immunity after changing maps

This may or may not get flamed... let's see how it turns out.

Give characters that just move onto a map 10 seconds immunity. For those 10 seconds, players cannot attack, get spells cast onto them, nor can they cast spells on themselves. All they can do is move around on the map. If they try to cast a spell themselves or attack another player themselves then the 10 seconds immunity wears off and they can get hit.

Reason this is necessary: a lot of times players PK in WG market and end up portal camping. As soon as someone shows up on the map, they fw or multi/xice/xfire. Sometimes it's not the person who is PKing back but an innocent player going onto the map. This will give those players the chance to run out of harm's way or do an initial defense buff before they get hit by the spawn point campers. Also will make PvP more fair so that PvPers aren't instantly killed upon going onto the map and makes it a slightly more fair fight.

Suggestions? Criticisms? This is possibly not the best solution but not everyone knows the Lethe Mountains connects to WG... also althought you already get like a mini-version of this, I don't think spells like fw and xice are immune to that mini-immunity when you first get on a map. You just can't target/click on a person.

Sai approves.
I remember back in the old days, playing on my old 500 mhz..
I'd get attacked or PKed while the map was still loading.

Totally defenseless.

During wars? Not a chance. Outside wars I guess I don't really care either way.

i like the basic idea, but i agree with some of the ppl here when they say 10 sec is to long... if u realy jsut wanne run safe, 5-7 sec would do the trick already

Yeah. I don't really like this idea much. It kinda defeats the strategy of running to WG or dungeons first to have the advantage (camping portal). And if we got camped, we all go in at the same time. It worked before, works now. And 5-7 seconds is still a lot. Think of how far a thief can get in that time. DR maps are'nt as big as other games' maps, so immune timer needs to be minimum.

I don't see a need for this idea tbh.

You must have a fast computer because some people get in the load screen and then die.
