Increase double weapon damage

Postby Shayne » Sat Dec 05, 2009 4:35 am

the trade off between using shield and double weapon isnt fair. That is one of reasons nobody uses double weapons anymore. They take too much damage and don't deal enough to compensate. I tested this with a Pike warrior vs a double sword warrior. Both same grade of force and no AC rares, the pike warrior hit the db sword warrior 1k more damage despite having same tt. When both had the same AC, and no force, the pike warrior dealt 500 more damage to the db sword warrior. The trade off just isnt fair.. and it doesn't equal out. When comparing the two warriors, a pike warrior (strongest shield warrior) and a double sworder... the double sworder deals less damage, despite having higher "attack" because when you choose to use db weapon .. u are gaining about a 1k bonus in damage to your "attack" but you are missing out on a potential 40 ac. This 40 ac decreases more than 1k damage which makes the trade off unequal. Later on in the game, it is just illogical to choose a double weapon. Can something be done to increase the damage so that this trade off is equal? If you don't agree.. test for ureself.. and if not then just don't do anything about it but w.e. ^_^

Agree. I'd like to see some double weapon warriors this time around.

Im pretty sure none of you would want to see this happen.... Arab, I dont know how you can agree with this as you were questioning about warrior damage being too high because of leeching tactics. Which is it?

Thanks,
Minipp

I don't agree with lowering 1h. People complain when warriors use strike/counter and call us noob... but do you really think we can kill you if we just use force? lol.. the damage isn't good enough. If you lower it.. wil be worse.

Shayne, NoD wasn't using any strike or counter. Yes it was hacked, but not that good char also. You will says 144 tt is alot, but it's not that much in the end. g18 force :)
