This wouldn't affect PvP as much as you think, as already alot of people have the duration of their spells memorized, it would barely make any difference and this is mainly for leveling and could be disabled in wars if it was really necessary.

You rarely see pvp at War. The real PvP happens all on a suddenly.
And no. Few players got that memorized (otherwise ppl wouldnt mind to have it) so lets see: You will maybe get a small proft of it by not needing to ask Z while lvl, or You will maybe completly ruin the game. Is that worth?

You haven't even fully read my posts.
I am all open to suggestion but if you come here just hoping to destroy my idea without ANY useful information about how to improve it, I will have to set back your plan.
No it will most definitely not ruin the game completely, you are overreacting by far too much, also this would be a very good to see how much longer your ice shield/lightning shield lasts/cp recovery, you know, spells that you have no idea over how long they are going to last ( this is based on what you said that people haven't memorized the spell times )

There could be some exceptions for PvP spells. Also in wars and arena fights/tournaments the timers could be disabled completely and so on.

Also I have a new option I thought of: When a buff is about to run you get a text message saying for example:
The dragon scale buff is about to wear off.

P.S if I let every wise-ass come in and let them bash my ideas freely, they would never get implemented would they.

IT WILL **** RUIN THE PRIEST CLASS AND PVP... PRIEST x PRIEST ARE EPIC BATTLES.. NOT IT WILL LAST FOREVER AND NO PRIEST GONNA LOSE CUZ THEY WONT "FORGET" TO RENEW THEIR BUFFERS

edit: This suggestion is even worse than the new job system

Knowing when your spells run out is what separates good spell-casters from bad ones, imo.

Yea I understand you. It's really nice to see you arguing for you suggestion. There are 2 different oppinions about the same subject and You think I'm overreacting, but I really beleive I'm not.
The game itself already have that kind of system, but not for all spells, althought it doesnt work properly. So, in stead of suggesting a timer with the exact time your spell gonna disapear, why dont you suggest them to fix the current one wich would be pretty fair?

I mean, in stead of the timer, you may see around you the grafic of the spell like the shield, or the green circle on the ground (for z), etc?
But keep spells like Luck, Return, Dispell, Stone Armor unable to know if is still on or not.
If we start doing everyone's suggestion, this game will lose its mark... Soon people will suggest to add The Lich King...

I only played WoW once in a private server and decided that it's gay, my suggestions have nothing to do with WoW :)
But I am a warcraft 3 player and there you cannot see the duration of the spell cast on you just like in Dragon Raja and there I never minded it. Here it just annoys me, there are even smileys for z and sfd now

I could have suggested fixing the visuals but that has been suggested already and nothing has been done so it must be either very hard to fix or the GMs don't care about that one ( I think the latter is very unlikely)

Thanks for your feedback, at least it's alot better than those +1 spams. Same thing with positive comments, could add a little feedback instead just a plain "+1". I think I will make a forum suggestion to make "+1" posts warnable, no matter whom they support ^^ and yes I am a hypocrite since I've used it myself but I can stop anytime whereas some can't.

ediiit: I can't believe I forgot to add one very important thing! This also makes the game more newbie-friendly (Y)

i'm still going with Kador here. there already is a system alike this where u see ur spells fading out when they're getting near the end of the duration. Dr doesnt need a new system for it, the just maybe need to fix the bugs that are curently in the older system.

+ this will make most of the 1 on 1 pk more boring... (like mage vs mage and priest vs priest)

There can be exceptions added to warfields, tournaments, duels etc.
I'm tired of repeating myself :|
