Getting items for butchering to make rares is actually harder than all other jobs. (effort, not difficulty)

You have to run around, fight, and kill A LOT to collect different skins.
To make one rare Bless Shoe, you need 4 Premium Clothe and 2 Man-Scorpion Armor (since you have to make 2)

The work required to do this:
Buy 8 Threads
Butcher 4 Orc Skins

Convert 8 Threads and 4 Orc Skins into 4 Silk
Butcher 4 Scorpion Scales

Convert 4 Silk and 4 Scorpion Scale into 4 Grace Clothe
Butcher 6 Man-Scorpion Armor

Convert 4 Grace Clothe and 4 Man-Scorpion Armor into 4 Premium Clothe

Convert 4 Premium Clothe and 2 Man-Scoprion Armor into 2 Bless Shoes

You also have to factor in how strong you are, people already butchering in the pits are going to, people who are leveling in the pits you are going to (slow killers), how fast you can get to each pit, does the monster you kill even have a skin at all (ie: "there seems to be nothing more I can get" most of the time. I've had that 10 times in a row once at Man-Scorpions AWFUL luck.), ect.
There is so much required...
You cannot macro this AT ALL it's 100% physical effort.

For Mining, for example.

All I need to do is set one character to macro click at a rock while i pick up any item or diamond that drops. Or even set up another character to macro loot (while watching the screen.. >_>). That leaves me with zero physical work in material collecting.

The factors for this is whether or not a resouce field is empty or taken. Granted this factor is very huge in determining if you can make what you want to make at all. Only getting what you want by chance.
Nohing more.

Point being: I think it is already sorta fair the way it is now and making it worse for butchering is just retarded.

I've got all jobs except candle-making to 75... so I know the quests for all jobs.

If you want to make things more "fair", ask the GMs to set up monster spawns at jobbing areas so that you can't just afk there while jobbing.

As for fighting over pits, ice dungeon and knocker's tower almost always empty. You can hunt the monsters there. There's always lethe for ms too.

I find it hard to believe people are "afking" while mining/lumbering. You still need to be there to pick up the important materials you need. Please do not exaggerate.

Think you might of misunderstood.
I am a GM is most of the skills at the moment.
Butchering, Mining, Cutting, ect.
I have to DO THEM ALL as it is.

Dont confuse me with someone who only does butchering and nothing else. I live in both worlds I know all the pain equally.

I've already said it is fair the way it is.
I also stated butchering takes more physical effort, and that is true. It is fine the way it is tho. No complaints here other than minor stuff such as regen rates of fields.

I think that just would just make things more tedious. Fair to whom...?
The goal of a player who plays this game for crafting aspects should drive to master every job skill and become a Merchant. Isn't that idea adding to the pain?
Jobbing already takes up most of my game play time because I have to collect and stock up mats for each job I intend to keep up with such as daily quests and collecting sard/leaf for the day.
Harder, do not want. :(
Things are fine the way it is, dont mess with a good thing, please. Granted, making them better isn't really bad. Heh.

Not AFK.

My desk set up:
4 computers, 3 monitors lined side-by-side and a KVM switch. (I'm such a nerd..)

First computer needs only be set up to click-macro. (needs to be a jobber)
Second computer needs only to be setup with a auto-loot macro.
Third computer can be used to read forums and what not. That way you can keep watch on the characters while doing whatever you would normally do. Including answering to a Player's/GM's afk check.
Fourth computer.. Could be another jobber actually.

This is how I do it at least.
I recall macring is allowed as long as you are not afk for over 5 mins.
If I have to afk for an extended time, it is easy to just pause them.
If there was a rule change that made any of this illegal, I'd gladly accept the ban. But for the life of me, I could not find such a thing as much as I searched.

Well to be honest, I do high material fields by hand. Diamonds are too small and people like to loot. :x

everyone just listen to Sai :trade:

done blame on the regeneration rate.
blame on the players that's camping on those spots.

good way to solve this problem is make tailor rares and trade for blacksmith rare in any way you can find.

Yeah... it's depressing when you see people making G6 Red Prayer and you can't even get diamonds for the sard quest T_T
