When you're fighting a group of melee chars. Once the Zerk Pill is popped, it's GAME OVER. Melee situations WILL happen, therefore a pill is NEEDED if you plan on living.

I don't see how doing more damage is going to help me live. It'll make it easier for me to kill them, yes... It'll allow me to not play perfectly and get lucky sometimes by only hitting half an X and getting the kill... If that's how you are interpreting helping you live.
It's not unrealistic for someone without Z to kill someone with Z (In terms of archer / thief situations). In fact, I would say it's common place. I doubt anyone can deny that.
I would say that calling a enchant weapon pill a 'must need' is a very far cry from the reality of things. Anyway... Like I said, it shouldn't work like a pill, it should be more like a CP potion. Charges and obviously the duration isn't forever.
On the other hand, not having Z against a good priest / wiz that know what they are doing makes it nearly impossible to kill them. No, I don't care about how good you are or your experience, Elvawien. In some cases, NOT having Z 'literally' makes it impossible to kill those classes, while having it only gives you a decent chance at it, if you pull everything off well. I'm also amused at how much you are downplaying CP potions. Comparing a CP potion to CP recharge skill and CHA... lol.
Edit; Also, Sakuya Izayoi is right about the party EXP system. I'm sort of surprised some people are still not educated of it, especially you LP. It's one of the reasons I actually like DR's party system. One of the few games where partying is actually worth it while leveling up.
