I found that every time I restart or open the game, all the options (like volume) and short cut keys set are reverted to the default values. I checked about that in the official changelog , it should be fixed iirc: Client not saving hotkeys or spells (due to client failing to make the needed files) ...

Simply say, if you wear a pick axe, you can't mine. However you can if you're not wearing it.
I'm not sure if this is reported, it should be fixed although we can mine.
