Ummm, someone may correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure you can only hotkey 'F1' - 'F8' for skills/spells, and 'F9' - 'F11' for armor sets. You're setting the hotkeys correctly, you're just using wrong keys (Y) . If you press 'F' without holding 'Ctrl', you will still get the buddy list. 'F'...
