Because you will just ignore those reasons and say it isnt needed.

Remember the word compromise.

it SEEMS like you just want it to be fully in your favor.
I'm giving and agreeing with ideas that don't hurt boths sides but to make both sides happy, you have not. Give me a $%%ing break "self cast", "remove once you are crossing class". TSH! That is so one sided.

It isn't fair to just ruin a skill because someone finds a way to exploit it other than how it was originally intended.
You dont like how it is used in PvP so you want uses for PvP and PvE to pay.
I'm contributing so one side isnt getting shafted over the whole side.

Other than that you just seem annoyed that Priest have an over powered ablity.
Hate to tell you this, but all clases have stuff like that.
Warriors have "Pepsi", Thief has "Ice death", Archers have point blank multi shot, ect

Now for the people who play as Priests to "abuse" sant in PvP, we'll let them defend their own argument when and if it comes to that.

i remember the word compromise neither of the options are completely destroying the spell, the spell is a crutch like when you die below lvl 21 and you can res and being teleported to town, its to help noobs learn the basics. thats what SS is. it should never have been allowed to be casted on other players

the 2 ideas i posted do not completely get rid of the spell. one makes it self cast only which would balance many things, and removing it for cc+ allows you to use it for the PvE that you wuold be doing, since past CC all PvE aspects pierce through ss anyway

Disable casting SS on enemies in wars/dungeons. Nothing more, nothing less.

what do you consider enemies in a dungeon situation, where your own nation may be an enemy, should be disabled from casting on everyone during dungeon and war because then 1 side will just all go SS and attack without being able to take dmg, except from 2 classes, which even isnt a lot of dmg, causing the other side to just run in circles
or to cast on everyone and surrond a stone so it cant be attacked

That is a valid tactic. In chinese DR I heard they summon monsters infront of gates and use stonization on them with curse rares (Y) again an excellent tactic.

Perhaps in dungeons it could be that you can only SS party/guild members. The spell's casting ability could aso be related somehow to /guildparty and /nationparty.

I still stick to my previous post, anything else is just plain ridiculous IMO.

the stoning with curse rares can be removed by priest d1 spell or another mages remove curse, a priests SS can not be removed

and you were at castle war earlier, you saw how priests just sat there SSing everyone and then using miracle heal to heal the stone

all that comes from being able to cast on others is a giant turtle fest where everyone sits in SS for days on end

If you want to call it a crutch, go for it. It is also used that way too.

Just like the example you gave with level 20 res, People exploit it to hell.
It is mainly exploited to pk people who are at tactic poles or to harass people standing openly in town. Even so, I don't agree on removing that ablity.
There was already a thread on that already and the best idea I saw was to disable it when you die with 1 NK or more. That way it does not effect anyone other than those who exploit it in the wrong ways.

1) Since ss is greatly being abused in wars like snow war and castle war (the wars where stones can be healed with mass heal), i suggest to dissable area spells under ss (so stuff like mass food and mass heal while u're under ss, along with the attack spells ofcourse)

2) Since like Karvinen already pointed out, ss on enemies makes can make many pk's boring. here i'm going to go with D_A's suggestion of making defence spells block SS for the main reason that SS is supposed to be a defence spell aswell so y would it be able to replace another one? this would 1 make it so ppl can't abuse it as a curse and 2 it would make it so less able to spam cuz then ppl can devine bless others again to dissable them for getting ss

3) since archers are 1 of the 2 classes with piercing ability, if 2) gets implemented, archers need a small change aswell. archer should be able to use AC drop skill while under defence spells like sfd, pro, ...
