Try switching to BitDefender, i am using the 2010 edition and so for it's all good. I used Norten before but that damn anti-virus eats up so many memory it's crazy.

Just use AVG free.
It's free and does his job.

They must be waiting for later in the afternoon or tonight, so they make sure almost everyone is Online.

edit: I'm talking in GMT Lisbon hours of course, let's see which means in in maybe 9 hours from now or so just guessing.

That would be stupid, better open up in the morning so not everybody registers at the same time and spams the login server.
