The nerf of priest

Postby JayLich » Thu Jun 10, 2010 5:53 am

I do think SS and mheal should be nerfed, but not by this way, it's a bit too much. Just sharing my thoughts...

I do think these changes should be made.

SS shouldn't be self-cast. Should remain as before but nerfed duration. Self SS lasts 40sec (same as now) but when used on another player (enemy or party), it only lasts 20seconds. Masking usually adds 8second per grade. But when you SS another player, masking only adds 1second per grade. Making g20 masking to have an extra 20sec effect when casted on another player. Having a full 40 second SS on another player with g20 masking.

Usually priests SS piercing warriors to ress their party. But now, even if there's only 1 or 2 warriors around, they may not be able to ress anyone at all, even in SS. I do think priests should be able to SS 2 or 3 warriors and then ress their party. (can't SS everyone with only 20sec or even 40sec anyway)

Or maybe give SS slots. Lets say 3 slots. Being able to cast SS on self + 2 other peoples. If you casted all 3 on others, you're unable to cast another one on yourself until a SS ends.

For miracle recovery being self-casted. Outside castle war, mheal should just work as before, cast-able to everyone. Self-casted only in castle war. Since mheal doesn't get much advantage while pking anyway, it's more of a leveling skill. Shouldn't be self-casted outside castle war.

Priests tank baku/brue/minos with SS, then cast mheal on a party member to recover hp... Should also be able to use this skill while pking and is low on pots. SS themselves and cast mheal on someone while they buy pots or whatever...

I'm simply trying to make priests more fun, they already have a lot less killing power since no class gets massive NK for tactics anymore.

Just sharing my thoughts ^o^

making SS and massheal selfcast isnt a nerf... it's more like gm's making everyone play the game and not abusing the spells for things they werent meant for

i can still think of way to many reasons of y it should just stay selfcast cuz "own nation" isnt much seeing that one can switch nations verry easely and persons arent bound to 1 nation either

making ss dispel when switching pk mode will have the same effect and wont kill other usefull uses like protecting allys or sending someone else to tank

mass heal was changed becouse people abuse it to heal stones,so making stone not affected by heal would have bein a easier solution.

healing the stones is smt in the game for long time and it shouldnt be removed cuz it makes priest more usefull at wars other then just ress and buff

yet again i dont see any problem with ss (and mass heal) being selfcast only cuz so far the only reason ppl dont want it removed is so they can go afk (wich isnt allowed anyways) or ss the tanker (which still is possible when u're a priest and ss ureself)
