Br is a % of chance. You can full FW and get no BR hit, or get 9 BR hit. If you have Max br effect, you should have around 1/3 of the chance to get a br hit. With high tactic, a 3 hit firebird with 1 br hit might kill thief.

I like to think of BR like critical. The % is calculated per damage. So 6 hit fw, each hit gets a % chance. This is why sometimes using a big spell that hits less often is better than using a weaker spell that hits multiple times.

(using example numbers because I'm too lazy to get real ones)
For example, if you use BL and get a br hit, you may do 30K damage for that 1 br hit. If you use fw, and hit the opponent 6 times but only 1 is a br hit, then you will do 5 * 3K + 6K damage (total 21K damage). If you get lucky and get 6 BR hits on your fw, you will do 6*6K = 36K damage.

I disagree 100% with your last post.

First you need to know that BL can get as much, if not more hit then FW.

Also fw is a level 50 spell, bl is dual class 3.

Also consider that i rarelly seen people making lightning resist rare. I seen tons of fire resist tought.

Bl is strong, and just better then fw. But it's somehow harder to use on a moving target sometime, so FW can be easier to kill archer-thief.

However the logical is wrong. Let's says you fb and get 2 br hit, you got around 36 k dammage (vary with tt indeed), but get a full FW br, you get more then 47k dammage easly. More hit you get, more change you have to get BR, higher the dammage is.

The point of my last post is that BR is like winning the lottery or playing scratchers.

Using big spells means you can do lot of damage if you happen to get a BR hit (big spells = less chance to get br because the spell has less hits). Using weaker spells that do more hits means you get more chances to get a br hit but if you do get a br hit, it doesn't hist for as much.

So if you win the lottery, you may win $1mill but the chances to win are much smaller than the chance you have of winning $1K from a scratcher.

I guess that's why they're called Basic Resist rares, they strip you down naked to your basic resistances
Against wiz you might think Evasion is risky and resist is the steady&safe route, but then again evasion works against BR whereas BR is anti resist rare.
