Noone ever forced you to get rid of your strike and CA, they are not perfect the way they are now, like jesse thinks.

Just a few calculations.
Someone correct me if you see any mistakes. There are a lot of variables when you are talking about Extreme Ice / Fire, so I'm going to focus on single hits for now. And using pretty low damage (3,000)

3,000 Damage on a target wearing only G5 Strike (173%)
1 Single Hit = 3,000 (From Initial Attack) + 5,190 (From Strike Damage) = 8,190 Damage

3,000 Damage on a target wearing only G5 Counter Attack (19%)
If attacker has 55,000 HP (Using Symtex HP Currently)
1 Single Hit = 3,000 (From Initial Attack) + 10,450 (From Counter Attack Damage) = 13,450 Damage

Keep in mind. THIS IS ONE HIT! And I REPEAT ONE hit. Also, no misses involved in the calculation.

If miss, just subtract the initial attack.

u should use G7 for the calculation, since i think more people have g7 than g5 haha

Tell me what the % for a G7 is. I can't get in the game right now.

1 Single Hit = 3,000 (From Initial Attack) + 15,400 (From Counter Attack Damage) = 18,400 Damage

Keep in mind. THIS IS ONE HIT! And I REPEAT ONE hit. Also, no misses involved in the calculation.

Ive posted this before:
When you use 2x strike/CA items they both work at the same time

For example my d1 warrior has g10smart (g4+g6) g10strike (g7+g4) and 78k hp... when i hit 1normal attack with thomas i deal around 11k damage. (thats g21,5force 190tt archer)
G10 stike is 376% damage return witch drops archer hp by 41360 thats just from a single hit that i can also miss since ca/strike work in conjunction with smart. Imagine i have also CA on :)
With my warrior hp i can die only to 100% full ex with no miss, do you know what is the chance to hit like that to a g10smart?
Can also alter items for more hp and less ac, this way the normal damage is 13k, ex is still survivable my a large margin but the reflected damage is 49k enought to bring hp down to 1 on a d4 archer/thief.
Good example was when i was fighting shark, a d4 warrior who dropped his hp from 74k to 1 with a single double strike and died.

When using CA, g10 is 41% of your max hp, not current hp like robber works.
2instances from CA drops your hp by 81%

11,000 Damage on a target wearing only G10 Counter Attack (41%)
If attacker has 45,000 HP (Using roughly Thief/Archer Dual 4 HP)
1 Single Hit = 11,000 (From Initial Attack) + 18,450 (From Counter Attack Damage) = 29,450 Damage

Keep in mind. THIS IS ONE HIT! And I REPEAT ONE hit. Also, no misses involved in the calculation.

If miss, just subtract the initial attack.

Do those damage * 8 (For Ex Ice and Ex Fire)

And see how painful they really are....

These particular rares were designed when rares were difficult to make. Since rares are 50% much easier to make, decrease the effectiveness by 50%.
