Not blue rare but instead Red rare.
So yes, they add up directly.

On the first drint made by spherix thralas finito the ac on symbol was white. It could improve a bit this ugly nerf on AC.

on dr int it was blue but act like white, protecting you from spells also. Tested it thousand times
