u know there are always some ppl want to build perfect chars for themselves?
just like g10...g10 is really that much different with g9?

D5 is a goal..even need to donate more money to get it ..i believe some ppl will do no matter how much it costs..

for server itself..they need more ppl donate to provide more service ..mayb a full-time gm..better network status or sth like that..

getting D5..upgrade rings..capes..rares...all of these will get more donation so that GMs can do sth good for server.

its a win-win situation..for server and players.

right?

GMGeek will not get the powers or motivation to actually do something.

I am fully motivated to do such. I just don't have enought powers.
I hope they gimme it before I lack of motivation.

Still not saying it'll never happen, but bminickw is nearly right about the current status of development. GMSignPainter has no current intentions or interest to return to service, and Finito only does coding when it's really needed such as security risks etc. at the moment. As for stuff seen in chinese private servers, the reason we have not implemented similar things is because nearly all of those features don't improve the game; they just add a few visual things that are stolen from other games or even limit gameplay by having users pay before they can progress to the next dual class etc.

So in short: it wont happen anytime soon I'm afraid.

From what I heard from Jill (over an year ago), it is already done. He wouldn't have to do code anything other than just "Allow it".
All the coding stuff is ready, but they need to chose a "Requirements" to enable D5. That's why we are still waiting for such.


This discussion is motivating me even more to work on it.
Keep your hope, as long as they give me the required powers.
I am taking this as a personal goal: Release D5.

Can't believe you people still discuss D5 -_- Add requirements for it and benefits. Who cares about balancing classes. You'll die regardless of your class anyways, everyone dies in DR at some point, even the GMs have.
