Go tell a store that just opened that everything in the store should be put on clearance price for the first week. That will work well.

Better to ask for a "rebate". Such as pay 60USD now for 10K RE. Then 2 month from now get 1K free RE or something. At least this way you have some bargaining chip when GMs ask you "why should we do this? How does it benefit the server?"

i dont think a discount on the first days would be of any good, so far i can only think on making items like capes and gembox much cheaper but with a limited time duration that will decrease each time the item is equiped or in inventory in a character that is online.

this will make this items more accesible for everyone without being consider a lost for the company, more like a long term investment.

I do agree for the prices of items after they discount some mall items are too high in my opinion, i understand the server needs money to function etc but they seem quite high for the RE people get, perhaps as you say a change on how much RE you get currently for each USD and in the future just provide say a 10-20% bonus and revert back to the current RE for USD ratio.

And pepex, if an item costs remotely that much i would want it perminant, having it on a time limit for those kind of items seems a bit much :/

I think he means a time limit for sale. For example:

Every 1st of each month, 10 mantles will go on sale for 5K RE (instead of the normal price of 7K RE). That would help them get a boost in funds each month to pay for the server (I'm assuming it's monthly payments).

the idea was to reduce the prices on items that are bought only 1 time but add a timer on them, as an example:

gembox:from 9k (mall cash) to 1k but the item will have a countdown of "xx" days/hours just like pills that will start each time the item is in the inventory/equiped, when countdown reachs 0 item disapear.
