If it is not linear or exponential, what do you suggest?

Do you have a list of values, i can create a function with that ( with 10 values)

The reduction gain is ( again my bad for mistype ), but the added survivability isn't, that's what I meant. Going from 100->140 AC gives a much better result than going from 0->40 AC. That is why some people are hyped with getting 210 AC ( though most DR players don't know simple math so then again probably not )

I am not understanding what you mean by 'survivability' other than..

More AC > Less AC

Thanks,
Minipp

AC alone doesn't mean survivability. It's the damage you receive * damage reduction % from AC.

For example, AC doesn't affect survivability at all if you're fighting a priest with life drain.

The damage you receive is dynamic while as AC is static, thus you cannot calculate the damage you receive into survivability except in such cases like life drain and poison and other skills/spells where damage is always a certain % of HP... I think lifedrain & vampiretouch might be the only exceptions where HP is better lategame.

More AC ontop of more AC > More AC ontop of less AC in terms of efficiency
I hope you understand that :d
