Desire rare

Hi all,
I'd like to know exactly how does the Desire rare works, it steals a % of damage with a certain % chance per hit to happen (like Strike for the opposite effect) and the lower ur HP is, the more chance it has to happen, is it that ?
If anyone knows if it works like that or if it's more complicated, ty for saying .

The point is, if i am not wrong, you cannot steal HP that you don't need. So if you're full, desire won't have any effect because you can't leech any hp.

Hmm so, if you have max HP, desire effect is useless ? Or does it still lower opponent's hp ? If someone could answer to this, thanks.

It only steals HP when you don't have full HP yourself. It's the same with defood rares ( weary and fatigue ): you can't have full food or they won't take effect.

As far as I know, Desire don't "drain" the opponents HP.
it "takes" the hp's from the damage you make. like you said it works like strike,
but vise versa. if you don't have hp you can't strike. if you have full hp you can't steal.

No it deals extra damage in proportion to your damage and then adds the same proportion to your own life. It doesn't simply lifeleech like vampiric aura in warcraft 3 for example. If the effect were only that it leeched HP the rare would be kind of useless and a waste of sards.
