There are 6 elements for skills. Earth, Wind, Fire, Poison, Lightning, and Ice.
Each element has a partner, if you learn a skill in an element, you cannot learn from its partner element.
The partners are...
-Earth and Lightning
-Darkness and Fire
-Wind and Ice

Hey I have a warrior related question: Should a piercing warrior go darkness or fire? Fire seems only good for a fencer, however tybern's gift says you cannot use it with polearms (does that mean piercing?). Thanks.

You can use tybern with piercing, by polearm they mean staffs.

Warrior got 1 use in fire , swords n roses which can only be used by a fencer.
