So desire doesn't do any additional damage?

Well I tested it 2 years ago and whatever the reason that was the conclusion I came up with.

I've just spent the last hour testing it again to see why I came up with that conclusion. Some information from the new testing.

Rares used - G10 strike (374% reflect) and G10 desire (200% steal)

First- desire steals less than is strike as you can see above. Same goes for robber and counter
Second- When both the effects happen at the same time the changes are instant. If strike takes away 6k HP and your desire steals 3k, you would lose 3k hp right away instead of lost 6k HP than gain 3k HP. The only exception is a extreme ice/fire hit where there are 8 hits happening at once, then it will look as though you lose HP then gain HP and vice versa.
Third- In regards to the #2, it does not mean desire happens first or second. A 3k hp lost wouldve happened with either choice. The only way to determine if desire happens first or last is to test it with full hp since desire cannot steal hp when your HP is full, therefore if it happened first then you would lose the full HP with strike instead of 3k. After over 400 hits, there was not one that had the decreased 3k HP lost. This is not however 100% conclusive as it could merely mean it just never happened but the odds are that it just means desire happens first then counter. If this is true it just means desire has no effect on the 1st strike effect if you have full HP- after full HP with equal grade there's a chance for desire to decrease the effect or steal HP back

More information: out of a test of 100 single hits- Strike roughly happens 1.4 times every 5 hits(G10), same with desire. More often than not when you get a strike effect there is a high chance desire will not counter it(With single attacks) results differ with extreme with 8 simultaneous hits where atleast 1 is usually desire.

Noted :geek:

Question: So Strike and Desire can work respectively. if I have full strike and desire. lets say I'll die in one ex-ice. because as you said, ex-ice/fire hits 8 damage at once. is there a possibility that I will not die? or strike and desire will not react because it's a head shot?

In the test, extreme isn't counted as a single attack but just 8 seperate attacks. If you have desire and you attack someone with strike, depending on the damage you do it can reflect you down to 1 HP or desire can save you. So if you have 30k HP and you do 4k dmg something like this can happen

Hit 1: Strike: -14.96k hp
Hit 2: Strike -14.96k hp
Hit 3: Nothing
Hit 4: Strike+Desire - 6.96k hp
Hit 5: Nothing
hit 6: Desire + 8k hp
hit 7: Desire +8k hp
hit 8: Nothing

You'd end up with 16k HP because of desire (16k hp gain after 1 HP). At the same time if no desire happens and only strike happens, you'll end up with 1 HP. Also with desire you would have done 24k more damage and the 8th hit might have killed them.

Yea, I think there is extra dmg dealt? Just to recap, desire couldnt counter strike for single hits with full hp but there is a CHANCE it could for multi hits like xice/fire?

That's what duran said yeah.

Anyway hmm maybe it's like strike that desire cannot kill them and leaves them with only 1 hp? Let's say the last hit of your ex fire/ice was desire. Normally he would have had 1k hp left but desire deals enough damage to be lethal. Will desire actually kill them or leave 1hp like strike/counter do when you hit someone?
