The tactic for leveling tactics on low rate has always been last hit, just get some friends to help you, just make sure you help them in return if they wish to get last hits.

Plus 100 whirling for a wizard is sufficient with vampire touch to kill an enemy wizard, I've done it before lol.. (no hard feelings Ironside).

Magery staff - add white magic vigor stats to magery staves. Increase drop rate massively and make it possible to craft magery staves.

Staff - Small defense bonus like double sword or double axe.

Take out shield use completely. If a wizard wants to go offensive, let him use a magery staff. If he wants to go defensive, let him use a staff. For priests, I guess they'll be stuck with staves, but we can all agree priests can take a few nerfs here and there right? Besides, one can argue that it's buffing priests, since they can get best of two worlds; increased whacking damage (for non wizard classes, since LD doesn't fully drain them) and still retain some defense.

and what about making a damage spell that is weapon based?
lets say holy rage now hits a % of the damage you do with staff weapons.

more or less: % of total weapon damage

orison*1= %
wepon damage+buff= total weapon damage

with 100 orison and hiting for 6k using a staff:

100% of 6k=a holy rage hitting for 6k

damage will be physical increasing whirling tactic not orison.

numbers could be changed.

What ever defense says doesn't matter. With a staff and only d1 set, you will have REALLY low ac. Warrior are going to hit u 5-6k. With slow and poison, ur dead.
