I agree with you, Silencer. Compared to many other games of Korean decent DR is as outdated as can be in many aspects, but specially its skill tree. Using only two skills for the rest of your leveling life isn't that nice at all, when in games like Maplestory you use three-four skills just to get through one fight. Revamping the skill tree is one hell of a task, but I believe it is very possible to accomplish. Also, I believe many of the priest/mage spells should be retouched as well. I mean, c'mon, does anyone actually uses Chain Lighting? XD

Yes they are.. and just because have 3 categories of skills for melee / range chars to use doesn't mean that you have to use all. Archer has all the skills they NEED..and the other skills weren't designed for archer to use or else they wouldn't just say "Warrior skill. Warrior/Thief skill" or "Short, mid ranged weapon"

They have all they need? Is that why their such a weak class? They need MORE. How come thief and warrior get such a WIDE VARIETY of skills and archers can't? If archers had more useful skills then maybe they won't be considered the weakest class of DR.

They aren't a weak class, they are a kamikaze class, huge damage and low defence, its how they are meant to be played. You can't tell me that in all the servers you played that no archer has ever pwned other classes? Cman.. your archer can even kill iemanjah wit her tank wall of AC while starx struggled...The only reason theyre considered weak is because with diverse rare combinations and more and more people having atack capes/ Ac capes/ G7s / etc.. thief have been able to catch up in damage and still have AC.. so something is going to be done about that maybe.. lower thief damage, raise archer damage.

Archer can compete with other classes just fine. You can pretty much double ex anyone, and Fire multi pwns ice multi from thief. Thief is a hybrid class, that's why its able to use dif sorts of skills. Once again the only reason you feel its unfair because thief can come close to archer in damage and has higher defence..but something will be done about that. Archer is a sniper class, you run in you kill as much as you can before you die, you can't expect to survive eveyrthing. Piercing skill, shark missile, multi fire, extreme fire.. what more do you want? You can't use poison skills because thats a trade off for getting fire.. and what good would lightning or stone skills do for an archer?

I agree with that and all but, this topic is labeled 'Diversify Skill Trees'. The damage discussion was in the other topic. In this thread we try to balance the classes not by increase/decreasing damage, but by modifying the skill system, as the OP intended.
