I do that already with a program that binds hotkeys to your mouse. The program is only for logitech mice so I don't know if there is an equivalent program for others.

i could do that if i wanted to with my fwd, back, and scroll button, but i dont feel like changing it back every single time

Afaik it's already a bit coded but not finished as it's not a top priority.
